Yes. Many members contribute additional money each month for COPE. COPE contributions are completely voluntary. There is no obligation as a member to sign up for COPE whether by payroll deduction or through direct pay. If you choose to stop your COPE contribution you can do so by filling out the revocation form and signing the bottom portion that indicates stopping COPE deductions. You will never be billed for COPE. Why give SEIU extra money?
